Boston and Seoul... My Favorite Places

Boston, Massachusetts. I lived in a little town in the Massachusetts called Amherst back in 2008. While I was living there, my family and I used to visit Boston often and I fell in love as soon as I laid my eyes upon it. Boston is full of history and beauty. Here is the picture of the most prestigious university in the world, Harvard.

Seoul, South Korea. Seoul, South Korea is the place I was born and I didn't really had the chance to  experience it, since my family and I moved to Virginia when I was young. When I joined the Air Force, I had a chance to visit my home country and when I landed in Seoul, I was amazed by their food and the Seoul culture. This is the picture of Hongdae, the most famous college town in Seoul.
Just like this picture, Seoul is always booming even in the evening time!

  1. Whoa, this is a very cool coincidence, Tim; literally right next to your post in the "favorite places" stream is a post from someone who lived in Seoul for two years! I am linking to her post so you two can connect, and so that you can see the comment I left there about a Korea-India connection: A Spot Halfway Around the World: My Favorite Place ... and while I have not been to Seoul, I have been to Boston several times! The Harvard Library is like a Mecca for a bookworm like me. It is very exciting that Harvard has contributed the digitized versions of all its books to the Internet so we can all benefit from their library holdings. Going to Boston is more fun, but the Internet is more convenient. :-)

    1. Haha I do agree that internet is more convenient, but you can't never beat the feeling of reading a hard book. The smell and the feel of the book always takes me back to my childhood days.

  2. Great choices for favorite places, Tim! I have never been to Boston, but I have always wanted to visit. And for Seoul, I actually visited Seoul and Busan in August of 2017. I absolutely loved it and I agree the food is absolutely amazing. I also went to Hongdae and saw so many college kids dancing in the streets, it was so neat!

  3. Tim, it is interesting for me that one of your favorite places was Seoul, because one of my best friends is currently studying at Seoul international this semester. He always is telling us about how much he loves it there, and how friendly the people are. It really is amazing that you were stationed at the place you were born, it must have been extremely exciting for you.

  4. Hey Tim! I love traveling, so I’ll have to add both of these places to my list! Boston looks really beautiful and I imagine the history being all around you would keep you entertained. I’d love to experience all of the incredible food and shopping in Seoul. The language barrier would definitely be intimidating for me, though. Thanks for sharing these with us!
