Reading Notes : Jatakas
Two Turtles Jatakas by Ellen C. Babbitt
This story focuses on two different turtles. First story portrays a wise and smart turtle while the second story tells a story of a foolish turtle.
First story was very interesting in a sense that it felt like I read this kind of story before. A Wise one uses its knowledge to get out of a rough situation.
Second story was also interesting in a sense that it tries to teach a life lesson. It teaches one to be humble and not to speak out when it is not necessary.
Both of the stories were kept short where it got my attention and it wasn't a big commitment to read it.
Goblin City by W.H.D Rouse
At the beginning of the story, it had interesting settings and characters. Hooked me in
Ending was very dull. I personally do not like deus ex machina as endings but the fairy was random, the horse was random. I personally wish that the captain found more plausible way to escape the grasp of the goblins.
