Reading Notes : Narayan Ramayana, Reading C

Vali
- I like how they started this chapter by saying that this is the most controversial chapter of the whole book
- In this kingdom, there are many races with differences appearances such as bear, monkey and etc and this is the norm
- Kingdom of Kiskinda is ruled by a race of people who resembles monkeys
- This is where my project character, Hanuman, makes appearances. He was very interested in Rama and his companions and they looked like scholars but also warriors.
- When Hanuman was young, Vayu told him to serve Vishnu and by serving Rama, Hanuman can follow his fathers order.
- Scene where Sugreeva is beaten by Vali sounds very painful
- When Tara had to carry the dead body of her husband, Vali, it was really sad.

When the Rains Cease
- When Sugreeva forgets about helping Rama, Rama said he needs to be taught a lesson even death.
- Rama sends Lakshmana to remind Sugreeva
- Tara gets mad at Sugreeva for forgetting the promise he had made calling him lazy
- Lakshmana's strength is shown when he kicks the barricaded gate of the Kiskinda open
- Tara calms down Lakshmana by saying that Sugreeva did not forget his promise. Also by reminding Lakshmana of his mother
- Sugreeva promises to no to get drunk again
Memento From Rama
- Rescue begins as Hanuman enters Lanka and shrinking himself
- Hanuman was angered for a second when he mistaken some other rich girl with Sita. He got mad at the fact that she was living luxuriously when Rama was trying hard to rescue her. This shows how devoted Hanuman is to Rama
- He respected Sita as she denied all of Ravana's advances towards her
- Hanuman was captured by Indrajit
